Batman will sometimes appear, via a holographic avatar, to divulge new information, or on-location, where he can be seen through the windows of the Batwing. The majority of the mission information comes from Alfred, as Batman is usually finding out information in another part of Gotham.
The game consists of choosing various destinations around Gotham City, and then listening and reading clues to solve puzzles and to decide where to travel next. Batman needed help with his missions, so he equipped the Batwing with the ability to control it remotely, and hooked up a holographic video monitor that he or Alfred Pennyworth could use to talk to the person seated inside.
